Are you detail-focused, organised, and passionate about delivering excellent payroll support? We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Team on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with HR, Finance, and a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient payroll operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end payroll services for ADS clients. This includes processing payroll transactions, managing fortnightly pay cycles, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting a range of payroll-related activities in line with policies, procedures, awards, and legislation.

You will also play a key role in resolving payroll queries, supporting new employee setups and terminations, and contributing to continuous improvement and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely fortnightly payroll.
  • Maintain payroll records in line with policies, awards, and legislation.
  • Manage new starter setups, terminations, and employment changes.
  • Oversee superannuation and leave entitlements.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams.
  • Respond to payroll queries quickly and professionally.
  • Support ad hoc payroll reporting as required.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you are meticulous, proactive, and able to work to deadlines. You enjoy problem-solving, learning new systems, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in payroll/payroll management would be desirable.
  • At least two years' experience in a payroll position

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a customer service role would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience with KeyPay / Employment Hero (Payroll) system.
